The Indian Military Nursing Services is a section of Armed Forces Medical Services of the Indian Army, first started under British principle in 1888. An official in the Military Nursing Services is conceded Permanent Commission or Short Service Commission by The Honorable President of India.
This is a specially designed course for female aspirants.
Eligibility :- 10+2 with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Age :- 16½ , to 23 ½
Seats :- 180 (extendable to 230)
The entrance exam for MNS is normally held in January month every year. After clearing the written exam, The candidate has to clear interview (Just like SSB) . Successful candidates will be absorbed by the Indian Army. candidate will do 4 years B.Sc Nursing in the Army Nursing College All expenditures will be taken care by the Indian Army. After successful completion of 4 years the candidate will be commissioned as LIEUTENANT.
2 YEAR PROGRAM:- Girls who are appearing in their 10th exams and interested to take Medical in their +1 & +2 are eligible for this program. We will cover their boards syllabus.MNS entrance syllabus .
1 YEAR PROGRAM:- Girls who are appearing in their +2 exams(Medical Stream) are eligible for this program.

Marital Status – Married/ Single/ Divorcee/ Legally Separated or Widow
This includes three stages as follows:
- Written test
- Interview
- Medical Exam
Written Exam:
Time Duration – 90 Min
Subjects – English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, General Intelligence
Type of Question – 150 Questions
Total Marks – 100 Marks Objective Questions. There are no negative markings
Method of Exam – Online
Interview:
Once the result for written exam is declared the candidates who are selected appear for a personal interview. These interviews are basically conducted to check the personal information, educational qualification and aptitude of the candidate. They seek to know more about your goals of life, strategies etc.
Medical Examination:
The last stage is medical exam which requires a height of 152 cm and XRay of chest and USG.
