• The Rashtriya Indian Military College is an Inter-Services Institution and a Category ‘A’ established of the Ministry of Defence. The College was established in 1992 with the primary aim of preparing the boys for entry into Defence Services and to provide quality all round education to young boys.

You can get an admission into Rashtriya Indian Military College, after standard 7th. The minimum age is 11.5 years and the maximum age is 13 years. You need to clear a selection test which comprise of English, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The interviews are conducted to test the personality and intelligence of a candidate.

Admission Age Limit – Candidates applying for the RIMC test should be minimum 11.5 years if age and should not be more than 13 years of age.
Tentative Vacancies Per Year – 50 students are selected tentaviely every year from all over India for admission to RIMC, which are approx 25 candidates every six month.

The exam is conducted in three stages:
Stage – 1: Written Exam
The written section comprises of three papers which are English, Mathematics and General Knowledge.

Stage – 2: Viva Exam
- Candidates qualifying the written exam will receive a call letter for the viva exam mentioning the date and place of the
- During the interview the intelligence and personality of the candidate is seen.
- Minimum pass marks for the viva is 50%
Stage – 3: Medical Exam
Candidates selected after the viva exam will be called for a medical examination at selected medical hospitals and the candidates who are medically fit will be granted an admission at Rashtriya Indian Military College.
